Morning Workshop—Getting the Most Out of Your iPad/iPhone

Would you like to feel confident using the many functions of your iPhone and iPad? Perhaps you would like to learn something new you can show your children or grandchildren! In this 2.5 hour hands-on class, we will explore iPhone/iPad basics and intermediate level functions including settings, email, calendar, the camera, privacy issues, apps, and bookmarking. Your questions will help determine the content. Novices as well as more experienced users welcome! Guaranteed that everyone will learn something new. Bring your fully charged device. This class is for Apple products only.

Workshop goals:

1. Participants will feel confident that they can operate their devices.

2. Participants will know how to find information that will help them answer future questions.

3. Participants will leave knowing some new tricks that will enhance everyday life.

4. Participants will have fun!

Afternoon Workshop—Staying Connected Via Video Conferencing

We all have family spread across the country and sometimes the world. Wouldn’t it be cool to talk to your grandchildren regularly so you can build a relationship with them long distance? Or perhaps you are a small business owner and chatting lives with clients might help build your business. FaceTime, Skype, and Google Hangouts allow you to accomplish these goals. They are FREE and easy to use and can be used on laptop, desktop. or mobile devices. Skype and Google Hangouts work across platforms. Bring your fully charged digital device and get set up to initiate live, video chats with friends, family, and clients. This 2.5 hour class is definitely hands-on with lots of support.

Workshop goals:

1. Participants will feel confident setting up and using at least two video chat apps.

2. Participants will know how to find information that will help them answer future questions.

3. Participants will have fun!
