On July 25, 2012, more than 100 people gathered at Bug Light in South Portland near the oil tanker terminal to bring to public attention the proposal to pump tar sands oil through the Exxon-Enbridge pipeline across Maine. Hundreds of people from across New England are expected to gather for a rally and march 11:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in downtown Portland to demonstrate opposition to sending tar sands oil through the Exxon/Enbridge pipeline across Maine and the Northeast. For information and to register online go to http://nrcm.kintera.org/tarsandsrally.
