BAR HARBOR — Join three generations of MDI women – Meg Burden, Bethany Van Gorder and teen Lilly Anderson – for tales from sled dog trail at the Jesup on Saturday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m.

Lilly just ran her first CanAm race and will share that experience. She’s following in the sled tracks of Bethany Van Gorder who is now a student at the University of Maine-Orono. Lilly and Bethany were trained and mentored by Meg Burden, the founder of Somesville-based Pulling Together, a non-profit outdoor experiential education program providing opportunities for young people to choose positive growth experiences involving the sled dog as both teacher and student.

Meet the women and some of their dogs, and hear details of what it takes to train and participate in races as the lone human in a team of feisty sled dogs.
