On Saturday, February 1, the Winslow Public Library will be celebrating Take Your Child to the Library Day! We will be hosting a dance party from 10-10:45 AM to children’s music. There may be a guest appearance from Baxter the Library Cat! This is also a great time to add your mitten to the mitten mountain and check out our collection. This program also falls on the first day you can pick up a winter reading club sheet. Stay tuned for more information about the winter reading club. Questions can be directed to the Winslow Public Library at 872-1978.

Take Your Child to the Library Day was started by Nadine Lipman in Waterford, Connectictut in 2012. It’s a way for libraries to welcome and encourage families to become regular library users by celebrating and showing what they have to offer. It takes place on the first Saturday in February every year.
