The Bangor YMCA is excited to be hosting Take a Seat Bangor: A Night with Dominic Gill on May 3rd, 2014 at the Gracie Theatre! Spend the evening with filmmaker, photographer, and adventurer Dominic Gill as he shares his 2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival award winning documentary, “Take a Seat”, capturing his 20,000 mile tandem bike journey from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuala, Chile. Follow Dominic as he bikes across two continents, experiences different cultures, and keeps moving forward no matter the conditions. What makes Dominic’s journey even more special, are the people he meets along the way. From South to North America, random people hop on his tandem bike and pedal with him − some pedal for a few miles while others journey with him for a few days. Dominic’s journey has won fans from across the world, but it is his unique insight and charming sense of humor that has won their hearts.
