BANGOR, Maine — The Sylvia Ross Home, an assisted living facility located at Ross Manor, now offers financial assistance to eligible residents through the Sylvia Ross Legacy Program. The program is designed to help community seniors who currently do not meet the qualifications for low income housing. Eligibility for the program is based on both assisted living admission requirements and income level.

The Sylvia Ross Home offers both studio and one-bedroom apartments. Residents choose from an array of amenities and services that best fit their needs. The staff is committed to providing a friendly environment that offers a wide range of social, spiritual, recreational, and educational opportunities, as well as thoughtful personal assistance, according to a recent press release.

Community members who feel they may be eligible are encouraged to contact Sylvia Ross Home soon, as space is limited. For questions or information on eligibility, call Jane French, Sylvia Ross Home director, at 992-2674. Eligibility guidelines also can be found at rosscare.org — click on “Our Facilities” and then “Sylvia Ross Home.”
