11th Annual House Tour to Highlight “Small Is Beautiful”
STONINGTON: The Stonington Public Library’s 11th annual house tour, “Little Houses of Greenhead” will be held on Friday, July 12, from 1-4 p.m. The tour includes homes that highlight the theme, “small is beautiful” featuring both historic and modern designs. One home was built on abandoned quarry; another offers expansive views of the Deer Island Thorofare. The Watson house includes both the main house and a woodworking shop-cottage. All the homes are located off West Main Street, Stonington, in what is known as the Greenhead area of Stonington.
A detailed and illustrated tour brochure serves as your ticket and costs $15. Ticket-brochures are available at Dockside Books and Gifts, Island Approaches, Boyce’s Motel, The Turtle Gallery, and from library board members. You can also purchase tickets at the Stonington Public Library including on the day of the tour. All proceeds from the tour benefit the Stonington Public Library.
