STOCKTON SPRINGS, Maine - Stockton Springs Community Library will host an open house in celebration of National Library Week 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 14. Library tours and refreshments will be offered all day, with these special events planned:
• Pirates and Princesses Party, 10 a.m.-noon in Mary’s Room, the library’s children’s room. Wear a favorite pirate or princess costume and enjoy a treasure hunt, stories, crafts and snacks.
• Maine mystery writer Gerry Boyle will speak at 2 p.m. Boyle, a former newspaper reporter and columnist turned crime novelist, is the author of a dozen books.
