Posted Feb. 15, 2013, at 9:08 a.m.

A “Stew Night” benefitting the Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program will be held Friday evening, February 22, from 5-7 PM at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Clubhouse. Attendees will receive a 20-ounce bowl of chicken stew, autumn soup, of mild chili along with a roll, drink, and dessert for $6. A grilled cheese sandwich may also be purchased for an additional dollar.

The Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp program is a leadership development and drug prevention program of Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc., and has been serving Aroostook County teens in grades 6-8 since 1987. Teens can attend a five-day residential summer camp program held at Limestone Community School and the Maine School of Science and Mathematics to learn leadership skills, and then have the opportunity to develop these skills by participating in follow-up activities during the school year. Registration forms for this summer’s camp, which will be held from August 4-August 8, will be available in schools in mid-March. For further information, please contact Jack Foster, Program Coordinator, at 498-6431.
