St.Croix International Quilters Prepare for Fall Show

Posted June 22, 2014, at 2:34 p.m.

Over the next few months the St. Croix International Quilters will be making the final stitches in their varied projects to be showcased at their biennial show September 26 and 27, 2014 at the First Congregational Church of Calais. “‘Around the Block’ celebrates the traditional and the modern,” says quilt show committee chair Lynda Duplissea. Duplissea and her committee also plan to have a “quilters’ corner where the public can interact with different members who will be demonstrating a technique or answering questions about their work. “Sue McIver has invited several quilt shops to vend at the show so attendees will have a chance to pick up fabric and notions without having to travel too far from home. Also, this will be the last time tickets can be purchased on our raffle quilt ‘Gaelic Garden’ designed by Susan Dyer and Nancy Rashka-Reeves. The raffle quilt proceeds benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Bangor, Maine,” states Duplissea.
