St. Anne’s Day celebrated at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Calais.

July 26, 2013 is St. Anne’s Day. This year, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church celebrates 165 years of service to the Calais area with a special day of worship, community service, and fellowship:

2-5 p.m. Community Baby Shower. For a small donation, any community member who is the parent or grandparent of a child 0 – 3 years is invited to come and choose from many items of clothing, diapers, toys, and other baby needs donated by congregation members in memory of St. Anne, the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus.

5 p.m. Old Fashioned Hymn Sing, led by music minister Karlaine Livingston.

6 p.m. Public Supper of Fish and other Chowders (donations accepted)

7. p.m. Festal Eucharist in honor of St. Anne, led by the Rev. Dr. Jennifer Reece, priest-in-charge.

All our friends and neighbors are invited to all or any of these events. Suggested donation for the Baby Shower $5, for the Supper, $7 for adults, $3 for 12 and under. Child care will be available throughout the day. St. Anne’s is at 29 Church Street in Calais. Please park on Church Street or in the Post Office back lot.
