David Peloquin is an internationally known author and singer. He views Leonard Cohen as a gift from the universe; a prophetic and wise soul with an artist’s vision and a mystic’s pen. The seminar will draw from Mr. Peloquin’s published essay The Unified Heart and Blessing to End Disunity: The Spiritual Themes of Leonard Cohen. As part of the program, Mr. Peloquin will perform several songs of Leonard Cohen. This seminar will be a participatory in-depth exploration of the spiritual themes in Leonard Cohen’s work, part of a worldwide celebration of a great spiritual artist in his 80th year.

Leonard Cohen, the “Golden Voiced” Canadian singer songwriter, has engaged in a life-long exploration of the great Wisdom traditions, East and West. Cohen spent several years as a Zen monk in the 1990s, and emerged with a maturity and quiet wisdom that has touched a worldwide audience.

When and where: Saturday, May 3rd from 9-3 at St. Margaret’s Church Parish House, 95 Court Street Belfast.
