The Presque Isle Community Center Campaign Committee has announced that Smith’s Farm has generously donated $25,000 toward the Presque Isle Community Center project. Smith’s Farm family has been proudly farming in Aroostook county since 1859. With operations in both Maine and Florida, their headquarters are located on the Fort Road here in Presque Isle. They are one of the largest supplier of broccoli east of the Mississippi River.
With deep roots in The County, they have demonstrated their commitment to investing in their community.
Growing fresh produce may be their heritage and their legacy but this generous donation will forever be
remembered by Presque Isle residents.
Zach Smith of Smith’s Farm shared that “The Haskell building has played a huge role in the health and wellness of the Presque Isle area. It just seems right to invest in something that teaches so many life lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship and community participation. We are pleased to be able to contribute to this project.”
“We are pleased that Smith’s Farm is donating to our project. Their donation reinforces the importance of
support from local businesses. Investment in our community in vital to the long term success of Presque Isle,” stated Recreation and Parks Director, Chris Beaulieu.
