The Maine-based nonprofit animal-assisted therapy organization Silent Sidekicks recently received several eye-catching donation boxes, thanks to the craftsmanship and generosity of inmates at the Maine State Prison. Each wooden collection box was handcrafted and painted by inmates in the Maine State Prison’s Industries Program.

These carefully crafted boxes, which depict a friendly therapy dog ready to be ‘fed’, can be found at various locations around the state. Silent Sidekicks is extremely grateful and excited to receive these donation boxes. If you see one of these boxes, please “feed” them to help support this great organization.

Silent Sidekicks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides animal-assisted therapy and related activities to people of all ages across the State of Maine through a network of volunteers and trained handler-animal teams. These teams primarily visit libraries, schools, and healthcare facilities. Silent Sidekicks is dedicated to providing comfort, support, and companionship to all whom they serve.

More information on Silent Sidekicks can be found at www.silentsidekicks.org or by visiting Silent Sidekicks on Facebook.
