CHERRYFIELD, Maine — Ground preparations for the “Sidewalk of Memories & History” will begin sometime in April. The sidewalk will be constructed from cement pavers, both blank ones and ones that have engravings on them. It will replace the existing sidewalk at the Academy. Pavers are $50 each. Pavers ordered to date include ‘In Memory of’, birthdays, marriages, military service, family groups, individuals, alumni to the Academy itself, businesses etc. You can order any time but if you want your paver placed in the sidewalk when it is first constructed in April your order needs to be in by March 29th. Pavers ordered after that date will go in the sidewalk at a later date, after enough have been ordered for a batch to be engraved and then placed. We hope that you will take this opportunity to join in creating this beautiful sidewalk. The Cherryfield Academy Trustees are heading up this project and have been working on it for about a year now.
