Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport is holding its first ever “Seashore Trolley Dog Day” on June 8, 2012.
“Dogs shouldn’t have to wait for August to have their special day” says Seashore’s Executive Director Sally Bates. “We can offer a unique experience for dogs and their people, so we’re Going to the Dogs on June 8th. We’re featuring 3-mile rides for dogs and their people in a New York City Subway Car on our private track.”
Dog-related organizations, including Animal Welfare Society and Lucky Pup Rescue will be on hand, as well as a number of businesses that provide services and products for dogs. Visitors can make a day of it, because Ned’s Bakes and BBQ will provide lunch service (for people).
Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s oldest and largest electric railway museum. The scope and quality of the Museum’s collection of public transit vehicles attracts visitors from across the country and the globe. Offering rides on vintage streetcars, exhibits, and a museum store with books, toys and gifts, the museum is appealing to all age groups.
Museum hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Dog-related activities on June 8 will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM.
