Spring brings gardening, lawn mowing plus sports activities and with them come shoulder problems. But you can help change that with a Yamuna® Body Rolling workshop on May 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at River City Therapy & Wellness Center, 268 State Street, Bangor.
Where do you hold your stress? Many experience pain and tightness in their upper back and shoulders due to spring yard work or even too many hours at a desk or computer. Women especially tend to hold their stress in this area. Tightness in the upper back, shoulders and neck is often associated with headaches and pain from general poor posture like rounded shoulders, downward dropped chest and thrust forward head patterns.
These patterns can make us look old and stiff, cause the skin in the neck to sag, and the vertebrae around shoulder level to get calcified very early on. It is time to let it all go and this workshop will teach you good shoulder care habits for use at any age or stage of shoulder health. Learning how to care for your shoulders will prevent movement limitation, round shoulders, frozen shoulders and other common shoulder injuries, keeping your shoulder strong and healthy as well as flexible.
In this three hour workshop you will learn how to increase flexibility in forward, backward and sideways movement in the upper area of the back, align and lengthen the front of the body to equal the back and free your shoulders. This class will help you stop the slouching and round shouldered pattern and bring your shoulder joint back to its correct alignment and restore full range of motion.
It is so easy to learn the relaxing way to roll out your stress with Yamuna® Body Rolling workshops. This three hour workshop is only $60, includes all equipment and is taught my Marianna Moll, a certified Level II Yamuna® Body Rolling Instructor. She is also certified to do Yamuna® Body Rolling Therapeutics and Yamuna® Body Logic Practitioner, Yamuna Body Rolling® Therapeutic Face Ball, Yamuna® Table Treatment as well as Yamuna Yoga® and all of these treatment are available in private sessions.
