SAT Course in Rockland, ME

Posted Feb. 23, 2014, at 6:10 p.m.

Spyglass Tutoring is offering a 6-week SAT course that prepares students for the Reading Comprehension and Writing sections of the SAT. The course will be taught by Dr. Chelsea Avirett, who holds a Ph. D. in English literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has over a decade of teaching experience, including 7 semesters teaching freshman composition to college students.

While most SAT courses prepare students for the SAT, Spyglass teaches students to understand the underlying concepts the test assesses: critical reading skills, the ability to write polished prose and to develop an argument, and the ability to edit/revise written work. Because Spyglass teaches concepts as well as test skills, students are prepared to incorporate their new skills into their daily schoolwork and also demonstrate their mastery when they take the SAT.

This class is limited to 6 participants so reserve your space today!

Course Time/Date: Sundays, March 9 – April 13, 2-4
