PORTLAND, Maine — Mercy Hospital has announced that Sanjay Godara, M.D., has joined Mercy’s Pulmonology Medicine and Critical Care Practice.
Most recently, Dr. Godara was the Director of Critical Care at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. Previously, he served as a consultant and director of the sleep lab at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and is a member of the American Society of Sleep Medicine and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Godara received his medical degree from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur, India. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh (PA) where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Godara received training in Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He received his critical care training at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.

In addition to seeing patients at Mercy’s pulmonary practice on State Street in Portland, Dr. Godara will perform sleep studies and cover the Special Care Unit.
