Zack Klyver, local Bar Harbor Whale Watch naturalist and owner of FLUKES: International Whale Tours, will review his recent three week trip to middle earth. While his trip included attending the Society for Marine Mammalogy Conference, he also took extra days to travel the north and south islands in search of wildlife adventure. Zack will describe his tour of Hobbington and how Peter Jackson took over the town of Matamata. Find out which side of the road Kiwis drive on, the cost of a New Zealand speeding ticket, and what to pack and not pack. Discover what it feels like to hike through the highly volcanic Tongariro National Park, which erupted in 2012 and provided the setting for Modor and Mount Doom.
