Paul W. Chaiken is recognized for Business Litigation:
Paul is a graduate of Boston University and the University Of Maine School Of Law. At the request of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, he chaired the task force rewriting Maine’s Code of Professional Conduct, the ethics rules for attorneys in Maine. In 2003 he was appointed by Governor Angus King to serve as one of Maine’s three Commissioners to the Uniform Law Conference, the national organization which writes and seeks enactment of such uniform acts as the Commercial Code, the Probate Code, and numerous business codes. Paul is a past president of the Maine Bar Association.
David C. King is recognized for Civil Litigation Defense:
David is a native of Brewer, Maine, is a graduate of Bates College, where he was a Travelli Scholar, and of Boston University School of Law, cum laude, where he served as an Editor of the Law Review. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Council on Litigation Management, the John Waldo Ballou Inn of Court, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. David served as Chair of the Board of Appeals for the City of Brewer, Maine, for several years.
Frank T. McGuire is recognized for Employment & Labor- Litigation and Defense:
Frank was born in Biddeford, Maine, is a graduate of Boston College, magna cum laude, and a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. He served as law clerk to Associate Justice Francis J. Quirico of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court prior to joining Rudman Winchell.
Frank appears regularly before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Maine and National Labor Relations Boards, other federal agencies, and state and federal courts. He is a past president and past secretary/treasurer of the Penobscot County Bar Association.
George F. Eaton II is recognized for Business and Corporate Law:
George is a native of Bangor. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College, magna cum laude, where he was a James Bowdoin Scholar, and a graduate of the University Of Maine School Of Law, cum laude, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Maine Law Review.
George served as Law Clerk to Justice David G. Roberts of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. He has focused his practice in business and corporate law for twenty-five years, and he is a past Chairperson of the Business Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. He has been recognized for several years as a leading corporate lawyer in Chambers USA, and in America’s Best Lawyers. He has served on several nonprofit boards, including the Bangor Public Library, the Bangor YMCA, Affiliated Healthcare Services, the Bangor Water District, and the Bangor School Committee. George is a member of the Board of Directors of Bangor Savings Bank and is a member of the Board of Trustees of its mutual holding company corporate parent. He is a past chair of the Eastern Maine Medical Center Board of Trustees and is the past chair of Eastern Maine Medical Center’s parent Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems. He is a charter member and past president of the Bangor Breakfast Rotary Club, and is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.
Debra A. Reece is recognized for Workers’ Compensation Law:
Debra A. Reece is a native of Iowa. She is a cum laude graduate of Creighton University, and a cum laude graduate of Creighton University School of Law. Debra practiced law for ten years in Colorado Springs, Colorado, first with the law firm of Retherford, Mullen, Johnson, and Bruce, and later as litigation counsel for State Farm Insurance. In 2000 she became in-house counsel to USAA Insurance Company in Colorado Springs, where she served until joining Rudman Winchell in 2004.
