STONINGTON, Maine — “Romeo and Juliet and Zombies” will open 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the Stonington Opera House, 1 Opera House Lane. “Romeo and Juliet and Zombies” is the world premiere of an original new play that has been in development by Opera House Arts for the past two years. Taking off from Act V of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and written entirely in verse, it is a humorous cross between Shakespeare and horror movies. The production will feature Melody Bates, playwright, in the role of Juliet.
