ORRINGTON, Maine — Crews from Maine Department of Transportation and Pan Am will be reworking the railroad crossing on Route 15, River Road in Orrington beginning Wednesday, June 25.
The project begins 1.5 miles north of Center Drive on the River Road. Motorists should expect delays as flaggers will be on site.
The work includes removing the pavement 5 feet away from the rails. In all, new pavement will be put down approximately 50 feet back from the rails on each side to provide a smoother crossing.
It is anticipated all work will be completed on Tuesday, July 1.
