The Maine Association of REALTORS® will host Maine Open House Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21, in conjunction with Nationwide Open House weekend.
During the weekend Maine REALTORS® will hold open houses across the state for those interested in homeownership. Local Realtors will be available at open houses to answer questions about the home-buying process and the local housing market conditions.
“This is a great opportunity for buyers in the marketplace,” said Bart Stevens, president of the Maine Association of REALTORS®. “Interest rates are low and prices are extremely affordable. Maine Open House Weekend gives consumers the chance to find out more about the home options available to them and gives them the opportunity to connect with local REALTORS® who can help with the home buying process.”
According to the National Association of REALTORS® 2012 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, 45 percent of all buyers used open houses as a source in their home search process.
