Rape Response Services Seeking Members for Support Group

Posted April 12, 2013, at 11:45 a.m.

Rape Response Services is offering a support group for women who have been affected by sexual violence at any time in their lives. The group offers support and education around issues of sexual violence with a focus on skill building and self-empowerment. Group members are welcome and encouraged to bring up other topics as well. Additional topics may include boundary setting, self-esteem, trust, healthy relationships, sleep relaxation tips and much more.

Starting April 25th, the support group will meet every Thursday from 2pm-3:30pm at the Penquis office located at 262 Harlow Street in Bangor. The group will meet weekly for 6 weeks. The group is closed to new members after the second meeting to allow for a more familiar environment for current members. All services are free and confidential. If you are interested in attending please call Angel at 973-3661, 1-800-310-0000 or email ashaw@penquis.org.
