PORTLAND, Maine — Experiencing a continued demand for its signature blend of professional asset and wealth management, R.M. Davis welcomes Michael Wood to the firm after an extensive search.
Wood will join as vice president and portfolio manager for northern New England’s largest and nationally recognized wealth management firm headquartered in Portland. It is well known for its time-tested investment strategies, trusted wealth management and financial planning counsel, and professional trust services.
“As an independent and employee-owned firm, our interests remain closely aligned with those of our clients. Since we have little employee turnover, the hiring process can be daunting as we work hard to ensure the right fit,” said company president, Geoffrey Alexander, in a press release. “Mike is a great addition to R.M. Davis’ professional investment team, especially as the financial environment grows ever more complex.”
“R.M. Davis is renowned for its highly personal, face-to-face relationships with clients and sought out for its fee-only model of financial management,” said Wood. “I am honored to be part of that heritage.”
Wood will be based at the firm’s Portland office. With 20 years of leadership experience in the field, he previously served in such capacities as managing director, head of portfolio management, and trust officer. He holds an MBA and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Wood is a graduate of Boston College and lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and four daughters.
