The Jackson Memorial Library in Tenants Harbor is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings by St. George artists Marylin Quint-Rose and Lauren Gill from October 4 to November 11, 2013. The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, October 11th from 5 to 7 PM at the Jackson Memorial Library. All works are for sale and the library receives a 30% commission.
Marylin Quint-Rose has been a sculptor and collagist for most of her life. She received an MFA from the Milton Avery Graduate School of Arts, Bard College. In the late 1960’s, Marylin taught fine art at the School of the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts. Her work has been exhibited internationally and included in several corporate and museum collections, including the Portland Museum of Art.
Lauren Gill employs a number of media to create her works, including oils, watercolors, and acrylics. She is inspired by nature and the quality of light. Her work has appeared in nationwide juried exhibitions where it has received awards, including the prestigious Collectors Gallery at the Albright Knox Museum of Art in Buffalo, NY.
