PVHS Class of 2017 Cold Stream Bass Derby

Penobscot Valley High School’s Freshmen are hosting a Bass Derby on Upper and Lower Cold Stream Ponds on June 28, 2014 from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm with the weigh in from noon to 7:00 pm at Gary Stover beach, (old fish hatchery/boat landing) on Cold Stream. The derby is a fund raiser for Project Graduation and to assist in removing the invasive species of bass from the lake.

Tickets are one dollar each or five dollars for a book of six. Each five dollar book includes the entry fee and a chance at shore prizes. The top shore prize is an Old Town kayak, life preserver and paddle.

Prizes for bass catches are one hundred dollars for the largest combined weight of bass and fifty dollars for the second largest combined weight of bass. One hundred dollars for the largest number of bass and fifty dollars for the second largest number of bass are also prizes. A boy and a girl with the largest combined weight of bass will win a fifty dollar savings bonds.

There will be a food concession at the weigh in and tickets can be purchased at the concession and at Enfield General store.
