Posted May 23, 2014, at 10:47 a.m.

ELLSWORTH, Maine — Candidates competing for various offices in the upcoming June 10 primary election will participate in a public question and answer forum sponsored by the Community Union of Ellsworth & Hancock County at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Ellsworth City Hall.

Stephen Fay, managing editor of The Ellsworth American, will moderate the event.

Participants will include:

– Ralph Chapman (incumbent) and David Guarente, competing for the Democratic nomination to represent Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Sedgwick and Surry in Maine House District 133.

– Paul Cavanaugh and Matt Foster, vying for the Republican nomination for district attorney in District 7 (Hancock and Washington counties).

– Bill Entwistle and Steve Juskewitch, contesting the Democratic nomination for district attorney in District 7.

The organizers of the forum hope to give voters the opportunity to learn more about each candidate prior to the election. Even more, we hope to inform and motivate potential voters who have not yet decided to participate in the election. Come out and ask your questions.
