The Town of Pittsfield’s Trash to Treasure Re-Use Center will hold a Grand Re-opening on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 am. The facility is located at 576 Peltoma Avenue in Pittsfield across from the Transfer Station/Recycling Center

Please join us in helping to stock the Pittsfield Food Pantry. We ask that if possible everyone using the Re-use Center on Saturday, May 10, 2014 donate a can of food that day if possible. All proceeds will be donated to the Pittsfield Food Pantry.

With the grand re-opening at 10:00 am, please make sure that you are there in order to check out all of the new offerings!

The facility is open 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Saturdays until cold weather (except Egg Festival week)

All residents are invited to participate in an effort to promote recycling, reuse and reduction of unwanted items. Citizens from all towns are welcome at the facility.

The following items are accepted when in useable and clean condition: Small Appliances; Kitchen/Glassware; Non-upholstered Furniture; Home Decor/Domestics; Building/Tools; Office/Craft/Supply; Yard & Garden; and General Merchandise. New and used clothing is to continue to be donated to Pennywise on Somerset Avenue.

The Re-Use center also takes donations of bicycles in good working order which can then be re-used by other families.

For more information, please contact Donnie at the Recycling Center at 487-3361, Kathryn at the Town Office at 487-3136 or Recycling Committee member Jane at 487-3343
