PITTSFIELD, Maine — Saturday, May 18th is the date for the 2013 annual Plant Sale sponsored by the Pittsfield Garden Club. This annual sale has become a much anticipated and very popular event for community members as they prepare their gardens for the summer season.

The sale is held at the parking lot of the Cianbro Building, on Main Street in Pittsfield, across from Reny’s, and begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. If this year is like years past, people are encouraged to get there at 8:30 as plants and flowers usually sell out quickly.

Proceeds from the sale are used by the Garden Club to plant six flower beds around town. to sponsor a Botany Award for a MCI senior, and to send two seventh grade Pittsfield students to Conservation Camp.

The garden club meets monthly and new members are always welcome. For more information, contact Betsy Doane at 487-2293.

See you at the sale, and be sure to “like” us on Facebook.
