Knowing how to support and communicate with those who are going through serious illness, bereavement, or other challenging life circumstances can be difficult. Val Walker, author of “The Art of Comforting” will offer tools and guidance to help us learn to be better comforters to family members, friends, and neighbors. Walker provides training at hospitals, universities, and businesses. She holds a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a specialized study in grief, loss, and disability. This presentation will be on May 15th, 6:30-8:30 P.M. at the Charlotte White Center, 572 Bangor Rd., Dover-Foxcroft. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is presented as part of Pine Tree Hospice’s “Caring For the Caregiver” Series and is a free presentation for community members.
