Pine Tree Hospice Hosts Author of “The Art of Comforting”

Knowing how to support and communicate with those who are going through serious illness, bereavement, or other challenging life circumstances can be difficult. Val Walker, author of “The Art of Comforting” will offer tools and guidance to help us learn to be better comforters to family members, friends, and neighbors. Walker provides training in the art of comforting to hospitals, universities, and businesses. She holds a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a specialized study in grief, loss, and disability. The presentation will be held on May 15th, 6:30-8:30 P.M. at the Charlotte White Center, 572 Bangor Rd., Dover-Foxcroft. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free to community members.
