Phyllis Gould of Belfast was honored recently for having sung in the choir at First Baptist Church of Belfast for 50 years prior to stepping down this year. She said she retired so she could “listen to the choir” for a change. She was presented with the plaque by Rev. Alan Shumway, pastor of the church.
