Waldoboro, ME (July 26, 2013) – The Philippe Guillerm Gallery, a new fine art gallery located in a 19th century bank on historic Main St. in Waldoboro, Maine will have its grand opening on Saturday, August 10th , from 5pm to 8pm. in conjunction with Tidemark Gallery presentation of Maine’s treasured artist John Lorence.
The opening exhibit will highlight the bold and playful work of the French-born artist, Philippe Guillerm. From melting violins to clarinets that charm, Guillerm knows how to bring out the playful attitudes of musical instruments.
Guillerm collects the wood for his sculptures while cruising the Caribbean each winter. His bright paintings are also inspired by his Caribbean and local travels throughout Maine.
Phillipe’s work is shown around the world and collectors include Sr. Richard Branson and Mr. Paquito D’Rivera.
“I know my name is a little difficult to pronounce,” says Guillerm. “But don’t let that stop you. Just think of G as in go to the opening, and E as in See our new gallery: Guillerm, Gee-erm.”
Philippe Guillerm Gallery is located at 882 Main Street, Waldoboro Village.
