Arguably the best spot in Maine to see a lot of shorebirds is Lubec. We’ll hit some other good spots, too. Here’s a chance to identify and admire the many species that feed and roost along Maine’s coast during their southward migration. Bring lunch, binoculars, and waterproof footwear. Spotting scopes are very useful but not necessary. The guides will share theirs. We’ll travel together by 15-passenger van.

Location: Meet at Fields Pond Audubon Center, Holden

Sunday, August 18th, 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Leaders: Bob & Sandi Duchesne

Cost: $15/person. Reservations required, please call 989-2591. Limit 10.
