The Penobscot Navy League Council in partnership with Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) hosts afternoon sunset cruises of Penobscot Bay aboard MMA’s historic schooner Bowdoin. These cruises raise funds for scholarships for outstanding Naval ROTC students at MMA and the University of Maine and to recognize the Northern New England Coast Guard Sailor of the Year. In addition, the Navy League recognizes outstanding merchant marine graduates from Maine Maritime Academy.

This year’s cruises will be held on Monday and Tuesday, 16 and 17 September at 4:00 p.m. Cost is $35 per person and cruises typically last for two and one-half hours. Passengers are requested to be at the Castine Town Dock by 3:30 p.m. to ensure an on-time departure.

For reservations, please contact Chris Kopang at (207) 561-2605. Since the Bowdoin can only accommodate 35 passengers, space is limited. Reservations must be made no later than Monday, 09 September.
