BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Land Trust will hold Pedal the Penobscot, Sunday, Sept. 7. This non-competitive cycling event includes 14, 28, 50, 76 and 100-mile routes along the Penobscot River beginning at the Bangor waterfront. Rest stops and support vehicles will be available on all routes, and there will be a post-ride celebration at Sea Dog Brewing Co.

The intent of the event is to raise awareness for the Bangor Land Trust’s mission to secure public access to local lands, conserve wildlife habitat, and maintain trails.

Cost is $45 for individuals, $20 for students, or $35 for those who form teams with five or more members. The first 150 riders to register will receive a commemorative T-shirt, and all riders will receive an annual membership to the Bangor Land Trust and be entered to win prizes.
