Robert Shetterly's "Americans Who Tell the Truth" portrait of soldier/peace leader Paul K. Chappell
Iraq War vet and peace leader Paul K. Chappell will speak at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26 at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St., Belfast. Chappell is a West Point graduate, author of three books on the ineffectiveness of war, and is the subject of one of Maine artist Robert Shetterly’s “American Who Tell the Truth” portraits, currently on display at Waterfall Arts. Chappell will address the questions of whether humans are naturally violent and whether waging war makes us more or less safe. For more information, contact Waging Peace/Maine at 338-2361.
