OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — “A Funny Night to Remember,” a night of comedy, will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Jimmy The Greek’s Restaurant, 215 Saco Ave., to benefit the Sean Patrick Carlin Memorial Scholarship Fund, which benefits an Old Orchard Beach High School junior or senior planning to move on to secondary education. Tickets $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

Joe Timmins of Old Orchard, comedian and host of this event, is donating his time and talent to honor friends, Sean Carlin, Paul Robillard and Mitch Money Kessler. Timmins is a member of Portland Comedy Co-Op, a finalist for Portland Phoenix Magazine’s Funniest Comic, and founder of the Fungeon Comedy Series.

Other entertainers will include:

  • Lue Avent – Lue is one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s toured with both George Hamm and Bob Marley and performed all over New England. His combination of real life stories and on the spot humor is truly something to see.
  • James Spizuoco – James grew up both Italian and Catholic, and he let’s you know what that’s like, I’m the most honest hilarious way possible.
  • Will Green – Will grew up in Michigan, but as he puts it “the good part of Michigan”. He was a finalist in three esteemed contests, Maine’s Funniest Comic Tournament, Portland’s Funniest Professional, and Phoenix Magazine’s Annual Funniest Comic Award. Did I mention he’s from Michigan? The home of Robocop?
  • Mark Turcotte – Mark has turned his comedy into one of the most positive things this state has seen in a very long time. His Comedy Fix series has raised thousands of dollars for needy causes. He’s a true gentleman, but don’t let that fool you, he’s got some of the dirtiest jokes you’ll ever laugh your ass off to.
  • Jordan Handren-Seavey – Jordan has made quite a name for himself in a very short time. He won the last ever Portland’s Funniest Professional Award at the Comedy Connection and has performed all over New England and New York. He’s also one of Portland’s premiere film makers with his group “Tasty Dudes Films.”
