Women, Work & Community to offer the New Ventures Entrepreneurship Training in Ellsworth

Women, Work & Community will offer the New Ventures Entrepreneurship Training, a 12 week, 60 hour class at Ellsworth City Hall, Wednesday October 1 to Wednesday December 17th from 9:30 to 3:00. An in-depth coverage of topics such as: your customer, competition, marketing, record keeping, taxes, legal aspects, financing, and operations will result in a written business plan. There are 3 monthly follow-up networking sessions at the completion of the class. Class size is limited to 15. An application, orientation and interview are required.

Applications are due Friday September 19th, the orientation will be Wednesday September 24 at the Ellsworth City Hall from 9:30 to Noon and interviews will be scheduled after the orientation and on the 25th, and 26th.

Note: This course qualifies for 3 Pass/Fail credits from the University of Maine at Augusta upon approval of a completed business plan and payment of a small processing fee. New Ventures is pre-approved for unemployment insurance recipients.
