Belfast Yoga is starting its new session this week with a new teacher, Gail Warner who received her Yoga Teacher Certification at Kripalu School of Yoga in Stockbridge, Massachusetts before settling in Belfast.
Warner the former owner of a fitness center for adults over 50 and a manager of senior wellness and education for a national health care system, she is passionate about improving and maintaining lifelong health through movement and lifestyle.
“Yoga is a journey,” says Warner, “and gentle Kripalu Yoga focuses on a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to strength, balance and mental calm, which can help people of any age.”
Warner is starting with three classes. Monday at 8:30 am and again at 1:00 pm starting September 8 and a 5:00 pm class on Wednesday starting Sept 17. Sign up is only $10 a class but Warner is offing a the first two classes free to all.
Along with these gentle classes, there are several other new classes this session including a fun and challenging Yoga for the Fit and Yamuna® Yoga with a strong Iyengar base while using balls for added support.
Additionally, all yoga classes at the studio are now only $10 each for pre-paid students.
“As our student population ticked up,” explained owner Marianna Moll, “we wanted to make this available to more in this community that may feel that cost is holding them back, but $10 a week seems affordable compared to the benefits,” continued Moll, “especially to the aging population that wants to stay strong and flexible.”
The four classes in Yamuna® Body Rolling will continue. Body Rolling is simple and easy to do, whether you’re young or old, a fitness buff or a couch potato, rolling with a YBR Ball can help you feel better, more vibrant and more alive.
Yamuna® Body Rolling is only $8 for an hour that will make startling changes in your body and reduce or reverse chronic conditions.
Need to wake up and rejuvenate your feet? An exhilarating 15 minute Yamuna® Foot Fitness is offered four times weekly, just prior to the body rolling class, that class is only $3, prepaid, with an added foot fitness on Tuesday morning.
Commit to yourself, change your life and save money by prepaying for the entire session. But we welcome walk-ins anytime. Try any class yourself, first-time students may try any class during the first week for free.
