New “Seashore Trolley Story Time” starts July 17

Seashore Trolley Story Time

Rail-related stories come alive for young children when they are read aloud and followed by a trolley ride on Seashore Trolley Museum’s private track.

Every Wednesday morning at 10:30, beginning July 17 and ending August 21, Seashore Trolley Story Time will occur, rain or shine. Books that will be featured include those by Maine authors Melissa Sweet (Tupelo Rides the Rails) and Bruce McMillan (Grandfather’s Trolley).

Regular admission prices apply, which means that kids under 6 get in free. Admission prices for ages 6 to 16 is $7.50, Adults $10, and Seniors $8.

After the story and ride, Guests are encouraged to stay for additional rides, visit the Museum’s exhibit barns, and even bring a picnic.

Seashore Trolley Story Time is funded in part by a grant from Maine Humanities Council.

Seashore Trolley Museum is the world’s oldest and largest electric railway museum. The scope and quality of the Museum’s collection of public transit vehicles attracts visitors from across the country and the globe. Offering rides on vintage streetcars, exhibits, educational tours, special events, and a museum store with books, toys and gifts, the museum is appealing to all age groups and is dog-friendly.

Museum hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM. The Museum is located at 195 Log Cabin Road in Kennebunkport.
