OXFORD, ME — MGA Cast Stone, Inc. the only Architectural Precast Company in the state, announced this week that it has gone on line with a new “state of the art” computerized concrete batching mixing plant, making it the most technically sophisticated batching system on the east coast. The half million dollar investment will allow the company to double its production capabilities.

MGA Cast Stone started out in New Gloucester, ME in the garage of owner Gerry Hamann. From there it grew to a 6000 square foot leased chicken coup for 5 years and in June 2010 moved into the 65,000 square foot Oxford Homes buildings on Rt 26 in Oxford. Greg Hamann company VP says “the purchase of the Oxford property has allowed MGA to grow and service a wider range of customers. With the addition of the new batch plant we will we be able to grow the architectural business as well as develop other related product lines that we have had on the back burner for years”.

MGA moved to Oxford 18 months ago with 8 employees. Today they employ over 30 people and expect to hire more as spring approaches. The family company, owned by Gerry and Pam Hamann, also includes their sons Greg and Thomas whom are both actively involved in the day to day operations of the company. MGA does business throughout New England and as far away as Washington DC.
