“It’s a jungle out there - and we’re living in it. Jim Sterba’s Nature Wars is a smart, stylish and altogether provocative account of how we are confounded by that which we claim to hold so dear - Mother Nature and all her creatures moving in right next door.”

Meet “Nature Wars” author Jim Sterba at P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center on Saturday, July 19th at 4:00 PM at the new John Street, Camden facility. Jim has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, NPR – Diane Rehm, Maine Audubon TV and many other national television and radio programs. The New York Review of Books says “Nature Wars’ is an extensive history of resolute and sometimes blatantly hostile real-estate invasion by beavers, Canada geese, wild turkeys, and white-tailed deer, all of which were once assumed to be picturesque and even lovable denizens of the dark and safely remote forest.”

Books will be available in advance at The Owl and Turtle bookstore on Bayview Street in Camden, and will be available at the event. Jim will be available following the talk for book signing. A $20 donation is asked at the door the day of the event, or $15 in advance at the PAWS Animal Adoption Center office on Camden Street in Rockport, or online at www.pawsadoption.org.
