NAPA Auto Parts of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont’s ‘Raw Egg Ride’ event raises $10,116 in donations for Camp Sunshine
GREENVILLE, Maine — NAPA Auto Parts of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont’s second annual “Raw Egg Ride” charity event was held on Saturday, March 2, to raise funds for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Seventy-four NAPA stores throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont collected $10,166 in donations, over $3,600 more than was raised last year, which is enough for five families to participate in the weeklong program at Camp Sunshine.
Donations were collected by encouraging NAPA employees, family, friends and customers to “purchase” eggs to fill the suit of the “Raw Egg Rider” of their choice, which were placed in the suits of the riders before they drove their snowmobiles on a specially designed route around the grounds at Leisure Life Resort in Greenville. One hundred percent of all proceeds raised went to Camp Sunshine located in Casco.
Special thanks to Leisure Life Resort for their hospitality and to Moosehead Motorsports for renting NAPA two snowmobiles, knowing they’d be returned in ‘egg’celent condition.
