TRESCOTT, Maine — The Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance has announced two October writing workshops to be hosted at the Cobscook Community Learning Center.

On Saturday, Oct. 6, Susan Hand Shetterly will teach “To Tell The Truth” a workshop on memory and storytelling. On Saturday, Oct. 20, Ron Currie, Jr. will lead the fiction workshop “How to Write Stories That Will Embarrass Your Family (And Why You Should).”

Both workshops will run from 1 to 5 p.m. and be followed by public readings at 6 p.m. by the award-winning instructors.

MWPA will offer fellowships for each workshop.
