The 2014 Mrs. Maine America Pageant was held at Seasons Event and Conference Center in Portland on April 12-13. Walking away with the title and opportunity to represent Maine’s married women at the Mrs. America Pageant in Tucson, Arizona this August is Liza Smith. Liza competed with 12 other married women from many areas of Maine in Interview, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown. Rounding out the rest of the Top 5 were Mrs. Seacoast Lori Geroulo-White (1st runner up), Mrs. Lewiston Courtney Bain (2nd runner up), Mrs. Wells Beth Jones (3rd runner up) and Mrs. Gardiner Meghan Gray (4th runner up).
Liza will make appearances around the state and volunteer for various organizations, as well as spend the summer preparing for the national pageant. Liza and her husband Ryan have 2 sons and reside in Sebec.
On May 10th, Liza will be a special guest at the 5th Annual A Taste of Chocolate fundraising event being held at the Brownville Church. There will be a raffle and drawing for a Mother’s Day basket worth more than $200. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Cancer Care of Maine.
