Come take a seat at the table with national bestselling author Sarah Smiley, at the Jesup Memorial Library on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Smiley is author of a syndicated newspaper column that reaches more than 2 million readers weekly, and three books including the newest, “Dinner with the Smileys” about a year of her family’s life while her husband was deployed in the Middle East. In response to one son’s comment about his father’s place being empty at dinner time, they invited an array of people – from United States senators, to schoolteachers, to Olympians, to fill his seat at the dinner table once a week

This is the latest in the Jesup Summer Author Series, co-sponsored by Sherman’s book store. Sherman’s will on hand with books for purchase, and part of the proceeds go to the Jesup.

Mrs. Smiley will talk about her book and writing, family and balancing it all.

As with all programs at the Jesup, this one is free and open to the public.

For more information, call Melinda Rice at the Jesup at 207-801-8331 or e-mail mrice@jesuplibrary.org.
