Healthy Androscoggin is conducting a Military Community Needs Assessment. The assessment survey is directed by AmeriCorps, VetCorps and CADCA: Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America.
Healthy Androscoggin is one of CADCA’s 100 coalitions located throughout the United States which provides support to veterans and military families with a special emphasis on serving the needs of the National Guard and Reserve.
The purpose of the 2014 Military Community Needs Assessment is to define the organizational structures and operating mechanisms of resources for substance abuse, mental health issues, homelessness, joblessness and a variety of issues impacting veterans, service members, and military families. As of April 2014, surveys are being conducted in Androscoggin County and throughout the state.
